Turning Point is a church family that is refocusing the church on God, His mission and vision for our church community as we enter and establish the next generation with God at the Center.
Below you'll find information about who we are and what we believe as a church:
OUR VISION
To be a thriving church family that moves, serves, gives, grows and impacts - with God at the center of it all.
Colossians 3:16-17OUR BELIEFS
We believe that there is one true God who reveals himself to the world as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, commonly referred to today as the doctrine of the Trinity (Matthew 28:19).
We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is our one and only Lord and Savior, that he was crucified as a sacrifice for our sins, and that he rose from the dead after three days, as he said he would (John 14:6, Acts 2:22-24).
We believe the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity, leads us to experience the life God calls us to (Romans 8:14), guides us to live a fuller, more complete life (John 14:26), and intercedes for us in times of need (Romans 8:26).
We believe that the Bible is the one written message of God and is inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21).
We believe that when people repent and are baptized, their sins are forgiven, they receive the Holy Spirit, and they are added to Jesus’ church, his body (Acts 2:36-41).
We believe that a person is saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ in the waters of baptism (Ephesians 2:1-10, Romans 3:23-25, 1 Peter 3:21, Matthew 28:19-20).
OUR VALUES
Putting God at the center isn’t a Sunday morning decision. It’s a daily one. It shapes how we spend our money, how we treat our coworkers, how we parent, how we live life, and how we rest. We believe that when God is truly first, everything else finds its right place.
Matthew 6:33 NIV
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
We don’t believe ministry belongs to the people on stage. Every person in this church has been given gifts, experience, and a story that God intends to use. Our job isn’t to produce spectators, it’s to help every person discover their purpose and step into it. If you’re here, you have a ministry. We want to help you find it.
Romans 15:14 NIV
I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another.
Whether you’ve been a Christian for decades or you’re not even sure you believe yet, you’re welcome here. We’re not going to pressure you, guilt you, or hustle you. We genuinely want to see you thrive.
Philippians 1:25 NIV
Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith,
Everyone who walks through our doors carries a story we don’t fully know. We take that seriously. That means no one gets written off, looked past, or made to feel like they don’t belong. It doesn’t matter where you’re from or where you are in your faith journey. You will be treated with dignity here, because that’s what people are worth.
1 Peter 2:17 NIV
Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.
We refuse to build something that only works for the people already in the room. The next generation isn’t the future of the church. They’re part of the church right now. We invest in young people, we listen to them, we make room for them to lead, and we take seriously our responsibility to pass on a living faith and not just a tradition.
Psalm 78:4 NIV
We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done.
We want to be a church where people are actually seen, where someone notices when you’re missing, where your wins get celebrated and your hard seasons don’t get faced alone.
Galatians 6:10 NIV
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
We don’t think we have everything figured out. We’re willing to try new things, admit when something isn’t working, and learn from anyone God puts in our path. What we hold firmly is the gospel – because the mission matters more than our methods.
1 Corinthians 9:19-23 NIV
Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak…
